Before you share your story
Before You Share Your Story
Thank you for trusting Without Silence with your story.
Without Silence exists to give people a safe space to share their experiences of mental health, disability, neurodivergence and life's challenges. I know that sharing something personal can take courage, and I genuinely appreciate you taking the time to do so.
Please read the following before submitting your story.
Your Privacy
The information you submit, including your name, email address, telephone number and story, will only be accessed by me, Josh Westover, unless you have given permission for it to be shared with others as part of a future project.
Your information will be handled securely and in accordance with applicable UK data protection laws. It will never be sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
Submitting your story does not mean it will be published, filmed or shared publicly.
Documentary & Media Projects
Some stories may be considered for future documentaries, interviews, podcasts or other Without Silence projects.
If I would like to feature your story, I will always contact you first. Nothing you submit through this form will be published or used publicly without your knowledge and your separate consent.
Please Do Not Share Information You Are Uncomfortable Sharing
Only tell me what you feel comfortable sharing at this stage.
If we work together in the future, there will be plenty of opportunity to discuss your story in more detail.
Responses
Without Silence is currently run by me alone.
Although I read every submission, I cannot promise to reply to everyone due to the number of stories I receive. I will always do my best to respond where I can, and I'm incredibly grateful that you've taken the time to reach out.
Mental Health Support
Without Silence is a storytelling platform and documentary project.
It is not a counselling, therapy or crisis support service.
If you feel that you or someone else is at immediate risk of harm, please contact your local emergency services or an appropriate mental health support service in your area.
Consent
By submitting this form, you confirm that:
The information you provide is true to the best of your knowledge.
You are sharing your story voluntarily.
You understand that submitting your story does not guarantee a response, interview or inclusion in a documentary or other project.
You consent to Without Silence securely storing the information you provide for the purpose of reviewing your submission and contacting you where appropriate.
You understand that any future filming, publication or public use of your story would only take place with your separate written consent.
